Social work may be defined as activities to support people who are thought to be in need. It should be noted that social service is a discipline by itself. The practise of social work involves practices such as changing or forming social interaction, contributing to improved health and social care, psychotherapy and counselling for communities, families and persons, etc. In the academic sector and a career founded on experience that fosters social growth and transformation, the freedom and empowerment of citizens and social integration can often be seen as a social activity. Moreover, the main significance in social work and that social work is not only a bridge to the healthcare team; it also links to direct support. A social worker has a sufficient understanding of clinical choices and is therefore useful to include the guidance required in the decision-making phase about how people such as cancer victims should be taken further and to encourage consultations with medical practitioners. Social workers should be part of the answer to different problems that challenge the treatment the needy require in the community. The vital professionals in culture also regard social workers. The specialist is one of the individuals who communicate largely with the population and consider their desires. The key emphasis of the workshops is on the promotion of humane values and healthy relationships between participants. Therefore, personal ideals will play a crucial role in the career given the important role of a social worker. I thus hope to be one of the effective social workers, guaranteeing a healthy social interaction. The personal beliefs I have at present can be due to many influences, in particular the culture in which I was educated.
According to Kaushik & Walsh (2019), the history and exposures of individuals in culture are always the basis for personal beliefs. I think that much of the ideals I have been influenced mostly by the activities I experienced when I grew up. In Kenya’s largest city, Nairobi, I was born and raised. The town has a wide range of populations. I have therefore grown up to witness the interaction between people’s communities. I would also experience different injustices when brought up in the perceived underdeveloped areas of the region. The groups with us also encountered various economic and social problems. On days I recall, when I was seven years old before I was thirteen, my mother and I would visit one of her suburban relatives. I had another sort of culture I was used to. I wondered about regional differences; roads with modern houses were built. I used to praise them for how “cool” our school was when we played with children in this area. However, when I was grown up, I knew our school was very different. In the suburban campuses, new buildings were well designed. In addition, domestic abuse has been raging in our city. Many south ways, it will be convenient to notice out one of her husband’s neighbours. I always thought it was safer for us, so I often brought food to my friends when I went to a playground. I have learned from their accounts that they have had to go without any food often and survive in one day with just one lunch. I even carried a few of my old clothes and the look on her faces always made me want to do something with the little aid. When I grew up, I also volunteered with various school groups and helped several of the less well-off kids in my neighbourhood. I, therefore, think it promoted the production of service as one of the social worker’s most important personal principles (Salsberg et al. 2017).
My mother also played an important role in the evolution of my beliefs, particularly service values, human values and relationships. When I grew up, I always saw my mother go a long road to support the community people. Despite getting none, she will use her influence to assist other community members. She was one of several humanitarian organizations in the area that advocated gender and domestic abuse. In addition to seeing myriad social injustices, areas remained socially underdeveloped and were therefore susceptible to diverse problems, including child trafficking, sexual violence and gender violence (Chenoweth & McAuliffe, 2017). My mother will then play in two separate NGOs between her work as a nursery school teacher and volunteering. I always appreciated her bravery and sacrifice when I grew up to ensure others’ well-being… You know, she was not a social worker, but her ability to support people significantly influenced my attitude and potential career choices. In high school, I wanted to have a job that would enable me with others to support people in my community.
As a social contributor, I believe different qualities can greatly benefit. The willingness to listen closely and active is one of those qualities. One of the social worker’s main responsibilities is to listen actively. The capacity to respond to a person actively leads to a good understanding of his condition and what he experiences. A social worker must create an atmosphere of confidence and confidence and the best approach to do so is listening to them actively in a way that keeps a social worker relaxed and comfortable (Ferguson, 2018). The support of caterers in the field of social work demands that a social worker should make customers feel heard and seen and that constructive listening is the only approach to do that. One attribute I believe will be useful to me in social work is my empathy. Empathy is a positive feature, as is the development of good therapeutic partnerships. Empathy is useful to society socially. Research suggests that customers who were cared about by empathic social workers were more likely to improve on data than those who lacked it. Empathy is what enables a social worker to truly serve a customer as well as to be completely professionalized in attempts to improve the treatment of people under their care. I assume that empathy is also helpful for me as a social worker.
I assume that the personal ideals I have built and acquired through the years have a major influence on my career. As a student of social work, I know that these personal ideals play a vital role in the choices on which I create and how to deal with my customers. I understand in fact that social workers come into touch with individuals of many origins and communities. It will also be essential as social workers that these disparities be recognised and that everyone be treated with dignity and understanding. Winter et al. (2016) observed that a role model is always the major move in achieving productive customer interactions. Having spent much of my life in Kenya, I have seen some of the problems that are causing cultural and ethnic disparities in society. As a social worker, I will use my job to promote social awareness and empathy for my customers. The customers will also value the choices and concepts that I create by modelling my approach to them (Ruth & Marshall, 2017).
I have made many acquaintances and seen many people in my life. Growing up in the farmer south of the countryside is what made me today’s young person. I enjoy building partnerships with both of you. I have had encounters where an individual or group of people do not welcome me. Not anyone who has seen it is that enjoyable. I have seen this many times as a young Black man, myself. Based on my skin, my haircuts, and the way I speak, and so forth, I had people not accepted me. I embrace somebody like my friend or support someone, myself or friends alike. I try to respect it, whether they want to maintain our friendship or what we speak about in privacy. That somebody does not like you simply because you are not in the same situation as he or she honestly is stupid (Steketee, Ros & Wachman, 2017). When I was younger, for example, children used to mock other people based on their home. That was not about the nature of the girl at all; it was about the income of a child’s father. For instance, my best friend used to be in high school every day wearing the same clothing, and others were bullying him. On what he wore, but the bond we had, I never looked at him. Both my mates and I share the same beliefs, so for about our whole lives, we have been friends. Some citizens with various beliefs are still mates.
With politics, I seem to see those aspects a great deal. Based on their political views, I saw people cancelling others. I did not have people talking about me and I do not give political publicity to myself. So much as a true moral individual because I do not want to injure myself, me or my friends and relatives, I welcome just about everybody. That is how I decide if I can join other people. I honestly think that you are a part of the community with whom you are associated. Similarly, whenever I see someone who wants advice and assistance, I strive to associate with you to make you realize your abilities and become a highlight in your existence. The thing people are judged for today when I was younger, was not as big. The LGBTQ communities, for example, include allies and adversaries. Nobody ever spoke or paid attention to it until they were grown up. I was previously judged based on my skin colour. The colour of the skin is something totally out of balance. These encounters have modelled me on me today. I welcome everyone irrespective of ethnicity, faith, sex or sex.
I morally feel it is not fair to judge others in this manner. Everyone has criticized others before in their lives. If it is a terrorist, another ethnicity or another individual. All took the action before. Before. People have tended to judge people who have been imprisoned, for example, so what if they have not done too well. You really should judge people who you do not talk about. Not everybody has the same conditions as others. People from various classes are often assessed. Any rich people probably judge needy or disadvantaged people who do not recognize their story or conditions. The homeless individual judged may have had some terrible conditions that contributed to the present case. The handicapped individual could not control whether they had been born or created. Judging others when they do not have the same faith, as you do not. If not anyone believes in God, they should not be ludicrous about it, but you could try to support them practice your faith if not. Finally, I would never criticize someone because of his or her generation that is just dumb to me (Amadasun, 2021). When a baby is born, it cannot control.
The importance of support is the foundation of social work. Fortunately, because I was young, my life gave me the ability to foster that value. Social workers provide selfless care to customers through the importance of support. I assume that the experience and expertise that I have learned from my profession in social work will substantially support this value. I will use this expertise and skills to include the services needed. I have mastered various tactics to provide the services I want to my customer. The desire to achieve social change will be powerful to tackle social disparity problems in society. I have grown up to see various economic social injustices. I still wanted to see a society where everybody was handled with fair dignity. I assume that the importance of social justice in me from my young age will make me advocate homelessness, poverty, marginalization and other aspects of oppression in society.
A social worker is an individual who is ready to assist others and faces the need to support people from various cultural contexts in the course of assisting those in the community. Therefore, they need to have cultural modesty such that they can take charge of them without being insulted on the grounds of their faith. A social worker may use cultural humility; feel attentive and mindful of the cultural needs of a community, a family or a person. People with diverse backgrounds have different personalities, faiths and traditions that a social worker might have to deal with when attempting to take charge of certain people, which may hinder their capacity to take care of themselves as well as possible if they are lacking social humility. In addition, the primary aim of becoming a social worker is to be able to promote an end to bigotry, tolerance and fairness (Walter-McCabe, 2020). This is a key priority. These socioeconomic injustices have been fueled by causes, such as ethnic disparities, which means that a social worker should fight for these problems, so he needs cultural humility or he cannot escape dilemmas. The social worker must be the face of his customers regardless of the customer’s cultural preference, and this will only be done if they have cultural modesty, to stand for the integrity and appreciation of their individual.
Families of needy individuals will deal with the problems they encounter by helping them manage their issues of privacy and relationships and changing obligations and tasks. Families living with vulnerable individuals are also challenged to maintain a friendship and to keep their relationships intact, particularly in the case of partners and social workers. Furthermore, when a family member has a certain difficulty, which renders him a vulnerable individual, it changes responsibilities and supports workers, and communities should handle this shift effectively. Social workers are useful for those who have just finished their therapy or who are about to finish it. The reality is that the future and the transition that has taken place over the years will affect these people; however, it should have been an age of hope and joy. Social workers will greatly affect the lives of those people by allowing them to manage the time to a safe end conveniently. At this stage, people who complete therapy will not be deemed necessary since they are probably recovered but need care in depth. I would love to be the one who saves others in those circumstances where nobody knows they need assistance. In general, I feel it is important in my profession as a social worker to provide insights and exposition that influenced my worth. I grew up in Nairobi’s underdeveloped region. I have seen diverse aspects of inequality as poverty-related weaknesses. This perspective and the strength of my mother helped shape the majority of my ideals. I believe that my ideas along with my social work experience ensure I provide my customers quality service. It will motivate me to defend the interests of different people and against some kind of discrimination.
